Refills & Prescription Transfers
Is it easy to transfer my prescriptions to Parkway?
Yes. Call us or stop by the pharmacy to request a profile transfer. We'll call your old pharmacy and handle the rest. Most transfers are processed the same day, and your first refills are typically ready before you leave the store.
How quickly can my prescription be filled?
When the medication is in stock and the prescription is ready to process, many prescriptions can be filled in minutes. Compounded prescriptions may take longer. We'll always give you an honest time estimate up front and text you when it's ready (ask us about text alerts).
Compounding
Do you do compounding?
Yes, at Parkway East in Guntersville. We compound for people and pets, including bioidentical hormone replacement (BHRT), pediatric flavored suspensions, topical pain creams, dermatology formulations, and veterinary medications (flavored chews, transdermal gels for cats, custom-dose suspensions). All compounding requires a prescription.
Immunizations & Vaccines
Can I get a flu shot or other vaccine without an appointment?
In most cases, yes. Walk-ins are welcome for flu, COVID-19, shingles, pneumonia, Tdap, hepatitis A & B, and several others. Call ahead for travel vaccines or anything less common, we want to make sure it's in stock before you make the drive.
