How it works
Your prescriber sends the compounding prescription to Parkway Pharmacy East (or you bring it). We confirm any details directly with the prescriber if needed, calculate the formulation, and prepare it in our on-site lab. Some compounds may be ready on the same day, others may take a few days if special ingredients are needed. We will notify you when your prescription is ready by call or text.

How long compounding usually takes
Most non-sterile compounds are ready within twenty-four hours. Some straightforward formulations are same-day. Specialty preparations, hard-to-source ingredients, or anything requiring prescriber clarification can take longer. We give you an honest time estimate when the prescription is received and text you the moment it is ready.

Compounded medications are not always covered by insurance, and coverage rules vary widely by plan. We always quote cash-pay pricing up front so there are no surprises. If your plan does cover compounds, we can submit the claim. If it does not, we can provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance or FSA or HSA.
